5pm-6pm
Free on-line session hosted on Zoom
Join us on this free virtual session in what we hope will be an illuminating perspective of Race and inequality led by Central Consultant Carol Howell MBA; Dip RSA; Assoc. CIPD; MSc. Carol recently wrote the blog post ‘Race Towards Change’, which explores the continuing inequalities that are present in the sector, the workplace and society as a whole. You can read her blog post here.
Carol is a Training and Organisation development (O.D.) practitioner with more than 23 years experience of facilitating individual and organisational learning. She has a track record suitably matched to supporting organisation members in reflecting on their practice and facilitating change. Carol has supported teams in the development of strategies for change and organisation-wide learning, and has experience in her previous O.D. role in supporting executive teams to integrate/mainstream change action into directorate functions. Carol's detailed bio can be found here.
This webinar will take an informal, informative and reflective approach, aiming to encompass consideration of the structural nature of Racism, and the forms and wider impacts discrimination comprises. We will frame some core questions as catalysts for conversations, by way of varying our approach to renewing narratives about Race. This talk would not be fully meaningful to progressing the anti-racist agenda, without each co-contributor willing and being prepared to make and share one commitment (no matter how small), to taking action to progress Race equality.
You will be invited to share your contribution with us on the day. We will also share insights with regard to the Organisation development interventions that can make a positive difference in keeping and progressing Race on the agenda.
