Women Lead the Board
Women Lead the Board is designed to better equip those who want to contribute to the leadership of an organisation. The aim of the Programme is to provide both a theoretical perspective to good governance and training in its practical application; it aims to enable its graduates to make valuable and strategic contributions to organisations in the not for profit sector, in particular housing.
Delivered by Central Consultancy and Training and hosted at a venue in Wales over two blocks of two days, the programme teaches participants all they need to know about corporate governance principles, governance codes and how the learning gained can be applied in practice to ensure graduates become effective board members.
18th - 19th January 2019 &
5th - 6th April 2019
Venue: Future Inn, Cardiff Bay, Wales
Women Lead the Board is based on the tried and tested Effective Board Member model. Find out what previous participants have said about the programme:

I learned more in those four days than I had thought possible. Fantastic speakers, thoughtful sessions, lots of practical stuff and tools which I use regularly. (Board Chair)
Although an experienced executive this programme helped me change the way I thought about governance. It has given me the confidence to challenge the status quo (Board Vice Chair, previously NHS CEO)
One of the most inspirational courses I have had the pleasure to attend. It provided real clarity about what good governance looks like, inspired me to make changes to my non-executive and executive careers, and gave me confidence to find my voice (charity Finance director, Trustee)
I signed up for Women Lead the Board and I’m so glad I did. It was one of my best decisions! (Assistant CEO, public sector)
This programme certainly contributes to raising standards in Governance. (Previous Director, Education, Board Member)
Provided me with the confidence and capability to address complex issues within the Board setting (previous Development Director, Board Member)
We learned to set the bar high (Board Chair)
