In-Depth Assessments (IDA), whilst not quite ‘next day’ visits, are done at relatively short notice and follow a series of steps which include submitting significant evidence across a range of business areas, regulatory attendance at board/committee meetings and detailed interviews with key members of the Executive and a number of Board/Committee NEDs.  The outcome of an IDA, positive or negative, can have a significant impact on your organisation.

OUR OFFER
Abigail Robson will work with you through each step of the IDA process, sharing her technical skills and practical experience to ensure you achieve the best possible outcome.  She can:

• Help your Board and Executive Team understand what’s involved in the IDA process and what their respective roles are throughout
• Explain what the Regulator Of Social Housing  (RSH) are looking for and give you commonsense advice on how to pull together and present your information and data
• Prepare your Executive and NEDs for the RSH interviews – running ‘mock interviews’ with sample Q&As - and help you prepare for the board/committee observation;
• Support your IDA project team throughout the process, being on call to respond to ad hoc questions or queries. 

Dr. Abigail Robson
A social housing service improvement and governance specialist with a wealth of experience gained in Local Authority and Housing Association sectors in strategy, policy, service delivery, performance, risk, assurance, regulation and governance matters. Particular strengths in working effectively with Director level teams, managing and developing multi-disciplinary teams, advising teams where colleagues are not directly managed and managing projects. Skilled in building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders from experience of working successfully as an employee in Local Government.

Over the past five years she has been working as Chair of two Housing Associations with diverse activities and group structures. She led both organisations through an In-depth Assessment (with the Social Housing Regulator) and led one through a period of regulatory intervention. She is currently Chair of Black Country Housing Group.
