Dan is a skilled and experienced benefits expert and trainer. He has more than twelve years’ experience in the welfare sector, providing consultancy and training services to local authorities, housing associations, the welfare to work industry and the charitable sector.
A specialist in welfare reform, Dan has provided expert support to clients developing responses to the changing welfare programme. He provided legislative guidance on the design of the leading benefit and Universal Credit calculator used by affected public and professional advisers across the UK – the first such advice tool recommended to the public by the DWP. He played a key role in the design and creation of some of the first local Council Tax Support schemes in the country. A TPMA qualified trainer, Dan currently delivers training on Universal Credit and the broader welfare system at both high and operational levels. Formerly the Training and Content Manager of Entitledto Ltd and a member of Harrow Council’s Training and Policy team, Dan has designed and delivered a wide variety of training courses to hundreds of delegates since 2008.
