Hannah Pudner is a consultant specialising in governance reviews, organisational development, and culture change. With over 20 years of experience in leadership and organisational strategy, Hannah brings a practical yet thoughtful approach to helping organisations strengthen their structures, clarify their purpose, and lead with integrity.
Hannah has led governance reviews for a wide range of organisations, including Greenpeace UK, the Wildlife Trusts, Central YMCA, and Overseas Development Initiative. She is known for producing clear, evidence-based recommendations that balance compliance with the realities of modern leadership. She is Chair of Remuneration and Governance at Stori Cymru, a social housing provider. Alongside governance work, Hannah supports organisations through periods of strategic reflection and transformation. Her approach is participatory and reflective, ensuring that staff, trustees, and stakeholders are engaged in shaping the future direction of their organisations. Her most recent salaried role was as Deputy CEO for the international development charity United Purpose (2017-21). With a £40m turnover, working in 19 countries across Africa and Asia, she oversaw HR, comms, fundraising, and programmes. The first 12 years of her career was primarily focused on higher education - as Assistant Director (External Strategy) for the Open University (OU), Director of the National Union of Students (NUS) Wales, and Senior Policy Adviser at the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE). Hannah is based in Swansea, where she lives half-way up a mountain with her family. |
